Your support is helping kids fall in love with nature!

Your kind support reaches many communities and their forest homes, in many different ways.

Because of you, children in the Bukit Tigapuluh landscape in Sumatra are learning how to care for forests, wildlife, and the land around them. You’re helping nurture a generation that understands and loves nature, and wants to protect it every day.

Thanks to your support, the Mobile Education Unit travels from school to school, bringing awareness, skills, and newfound forest-friendly attitudes to students. Instead of teaching conservation in just one subject, your generosity helps weave environmental lessons into many different school activities. This helps children see that caring for our world is part of everyday life!

From planting trees to keeping their school grounds clean, students are building habits that protect their forests and futures.

And the secret ingredient? We make it fun!

The Five Senses

Through the traditional game of ulur-ularan, students are blindfolded, and guided in a line through different areas in nature. Some open and sunny, others shaded by trees. They feel the cool air under the forest canopy. They notice the warmth in open spaces.

This ignites their senses as they experience the different elements of nature, while learning values of trust, teamwork and respect for the world around them.

Conservation Camp

Older students take part in Conservation Camp, where Scout groups come together to explore what it means to protect nature for future generations.

They talk about why forests matter: how they provide food, water, shelter, and life for all living things.

Then they roll up their sleeves and plant trees like coconut, mango, and rambutan. They work in teams, play games, and build friendships rooted in a shared love for nature. For many, it’s a life-changing experience.

Vegetable Patches

Your support also helps students learn how to grow their own vegetables.

They discover how to plant seedlings, care for nurseries, set up shade netting, and create healthy growing spaces. These are skills they can take home to their families, helping whole communities learn to grow food without harming nearby forests.

That’s real, lasting change!

It means so much to these communities to know that you believe in them. Your kindness is shaping strong, skilled young people who understand how their actions affect the land around them.

The ripple effect of your generosity will be felt for years to come. In healthier forests, stronger communities, and children who grow up knowing they can make a difference.

Thank you for standing with them. And for standing with nature!
