Business Supporter

Align your business with Forests for People to support vulnerable forest communities and help make positive changes in the world. It’s something you, your company and employees can all share in.

Why support forest communities?

Deforestation has a serious impact on Indigenous forest communities. For hundreds of years, these communities have depended on the rainforest for their culture and way of life. Many live in poverty and have little power in global politics or the economy. When their traditional lands are destroyed, they must compete with Critically Endangered animals for the small amount of forest that’s left. This creates additional pressure on both people and wildlife who need the forest to survive.

What can your organisation do?

  • Improving economic opportunities for women and girls through skill-building programs focused on literacy, computer use, and vocational training.

  • Working with local schools, farmers, and communities to deliver conservation education and promote awareness of sustainable farming practices.

  • Promoting sustainable livelihoods in forest communities that protect natural resources while supporting economic growth.
